Reconcile, Recover, & Release

Reconciliation to the Father is in my opinion the basic foundation of the Christian life because God wants to have a personal relationship with us. We also become aware of who we are and who’s we are, recovering what was stolen from man in the garden; pure true relationship. When the spirit of man is in a reconciled place with the Father that person becomes all that the universe hopes for. We become sons of God through adoption into His royal family (1 Peter 2:9). We become co heirs with Christ and ambassadors of the kingdom of heaven (2 Corinthians 5:20). The authority of man is restored and what he says or does is backed by heaven. From a reconciled state we become witness of awesome grace. Our shame is replaced with the ability to speak the things that do not exist as though they do exist. We release the mission and vision of heaven; man operating in purpose, destiny, and perfect community.

Surrounded

I came across a passage of scripture that I have read many times but as I embraced what the spirit was saying and not reading through the lenses of Rich but through the mindset of school me Jesus and Lord speak to me; I really mean speak to me, my life was changed yet again.

Hebrews is an amazing book first off; the superiority of grace; which is the person of Jesus and the inferiority of the law which leads man into sin and death is spelled out clearly in the text. In chapter 11 by faith Abraham when he was tested did such in such. By faith Isaac blessed…..by faith, by faith, by faith. Verse 33: who by faith conquered kingdoms, preformed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, quenched the power of fire, from weakness became strong. Verse 37: they were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted…..and then verse 38, (men of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes in the ground. Verse 39: and all these, having gained approval through their FAITH did not receive what was promised, verse 40: because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect……amazing! And here it is the life changer….. Chapter 12:1; Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses SURROUNDING us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

So…..the promises that our fore fathers in the faith received and there perfecting will not be fulfilled except through our walk. So Abraham, Moses, Paul, and all the saints that have gone home to be with the Lord is that huge cloud of his witnesses who surround us, his lights, encouraging us to walk in greatness, praying for our success, somehow supernaturally touching our lives. You are not alone and you contain not just the promises of our fore fathers in the faith but you are the hope of Jesus’ whole purpose of hanging on a cross and rising again. You are one important person! You are surrounded right now.

Fear and Death

It is so important not to let the fear we are surrounded by in the media rule our thoughts and emotions. If the enemy can keep us focused on the fear then we are powerless. It is one thing to stay in touch with current events and know what is going on, it is another thing to let what you hear and see rule your life by filling you with fear.

It is so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of all that is going wrong in our country and around the world. I am learning that if I stop and redirect my focus to God, then things become much clearer. I LOVE the way 1 John 4:18 is read in The Message Bible… “There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.” Other translations say that perfect love casts out ALL fear. If I am filled with God’s perfect love then there is NO room for fear!

I have to make a conscience choice to look at that fear everyday and say “today I will be filled with love and hope!” I grew up very fearful, I worried all the time. I was a sickly child and I believe that it was fear that consumed me and made me sick. To this day, if I worry to much than I end up physically affected by that worry. There is a reason we are encouraged in the Psalms to cast our cares upon the Lord. Fear leads to death…

When we make a choice to spread fear through our words we are in essence speaking death. What we say shapes the next generation. If we base what we tell them in death then we are killing them before they have a chance to step into their destiny. My husband put it so well… “look there are giants in the promise land, whatever shall we do”… Do we cower in fear and allow the media to give the giants power over us or do we see them as God sees them, small and insignificant. When we look at a giant through God’s eyes, like David did, then we will be able to defeat them with a single strike.

LOVE=LIFE

FEAR=DEATH

Chose LOVE above all else.

I’m not one for frilly Christianity, we have a 2000+ year old text which was written in a completely different culture so our witness or evangelism; not our gospel, better have some serious strategy change up on it. There is no way I would minister how Paul or Peter did. One was to Gentile’s who knew nothing; not so in our day and age, the other to the Jews; the ones who did know but rejected the true Messiah, and they did so with the mindset that Jesus was coming back next week. And I think they began to understand they themselves needed different tactics towards the end; secret weapon….Love never fails. Not the gospel or power or the message of Christ, but Love; it never fails, what an unbelievable statement! So if I can take the truth of the gospel, triple wrap that in love, display the power of the kingdom and deliver it in a non judgmental way like Jesus did every time he had a chance to expose sin in a Gentile; I’m mean he was even gracious to the legion of demons, then my ministry will be way more effective and have people who want to be discipled, people who forsake their birth right and follow. Humility is power is under control and shrewdness is understanding walked out in a practical manner where you error on the side of caution in what you say and how you present something because a brother offended is HARDER to be won than a strong fortified city. I think this is the model for the New Millennia Christian. A believer who is in touch with the heart of the Father and in intimate relationship with the Holy Trinity and not just a student of the word. He who is forgiven much is going to love much, and I was sick with sin. Thank you Father that you spoke to me; like Paul, and I didn’t get someone else. Amen.
